He leaves “during his siesta”. Woman finds him dead

Luís Jardim passed away this Friday, July 4, 2025 , at the age of 75 , at his home in Cadaval. The producer's cause of death was cardiorespiratory arrest .

According to Maya , a longtime friend of the couple, the musician had been feeling unwell since the previous day.

“They were currently living in Covilhã, because Teresa [Luís Jardim’s wife] is launching a new Pestana” , he began by saying. “ They came to Lisbon yesterday to celebrate his birthday and he wasn’t feeling very well” , he revealed.

And he reports the outcome: “He thought that if he rested a little he would be fine, he had a pain in his back, a discomfort. When Teresa realized it, [he] had left during his nap, during his sleep.”

“It’s a holy death, despite everything. What people want,” he reflected.
